Diabetes, if poorly treated can lead to a number of other medical problems affecting eyes, heart, kidney and circulation. For this reason it is important to have regular check-ups with our Practice Nurse.
We also encourage patients with diabetes to be actively involved in their own care, particularly with careful diet and home blood testing.
Patients with diabetes are seen regularly by our Practice Nurse and is aimed to help patients cope with their condition by providing advice on lifestyle, diet and medication. All patients with diabetes are invited to attend for a blood test, diabetic review, eye screening and podiatry screening.
